Skybound Relics

Skybound Relics is the kind of game you play slowly on purpose. It's an exploration adventure across a chain of floating islands, and the appeal is in wandering, solving environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened to a vanished civilisation.

There's very little text hand-holding. You learn by looking, testing things, and occasionally getting stuck for ten minutes before the answer clicks. The hand-drawn art and gentle score make every screen feel like a place worth lingering in.

It's short — maybe five hours — and there's no combat, so action fans will bounce off it. For everyone else it's a lovely little journey that ends before it wears out its welcome.
